Your Piping Plover Suite includes luxury amenities including an outdoor deck, kitchen, fireplace and a freestanding tub. To explore the hotel’s beautiful surrounds, you’ll each be gifted a pair of Hunter boots and Hunter outerwear wardrobe. The puppy, meanwhile, will be gifted with a sweater, collar, leash, bed, crate, bowls, food and treats.
Top this off with daily in-room breakfast and a custom private dinner prepared by the inn’s executive chef and you’ll never want to leave. With this in mind, also included in the package is a return trip to Weekapaug Inn one year later. Prices start at US$113,340.
Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Santa Monica, California
For the entire month of February, the luxurious oceanfront hotel is offering the ultimate romantic escape with the Cloud 9 Valentine’s Day package. It includes a three-night stay in a bi-level bungalow filled with dozens of roses on arrival, a photographer, daily Champagne breakfast in bed plus a couple’s massage at the spa.
You and your loved one will take a dreamy chauffeured drive up the famous Pacific Coast Highway in a 1958 Cadillac Convertible to a private Safari Tour at Malibu Wines. The next day, you’ll spend the afternoon on a 14-metre Beneteau sailboat – the perfect spot to watch the sunset over Santa Monica.
Arriving back at the hotel, you’ll be whisked away for a blowout at Glam + Go or a shave at Lloyd’s Barbershop before returning to your bungalow for a private candlelit dinner under the stars. Prices start at US$14,000.
Milaidhoo Island Maldives
If you’ve ever wondered whether you and your partner would survive on a deserted island together, this is your chance to do it in absolute luxury. At the gorgeous Milaidhoo Island Maldives resort, the Sleep Under the Stars experience lets couples spend a night as castaways.
Starting with a romantic Champagne sunset cruise aboard either a luxury yacht or traditional Maldivian sailing boat, you arrive at your very own secluded sandbank. After enjoying a few cocktails by the fire and a decadent four-course dinner, the space is transformed into an open-air bedroom with a canopied four-poster bed surrounded by lanterns and candles.
After a restful sleep listening to the soft lapping of waves, couples will start the day with a sunrise yoga session before the butler arrives to serve a freshly prepared breakfast. Prices start at US$3,000 plus cost of hotel accommodation.
Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese, Italy
There are very few places on earth that inspire romance like Italy does. Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese takes this to a whole new level with its Over-The-Top Valentine’s Day Experience. Couples will spend five nights in one of the hotel’s new Venus or Cupid suites, which will be filled with a beautiful arrangement by distinguished Roman florist Flavia Bruni.
To set the mood, couples can sink into a candle-adorned donkey milk bath – believed to be an elixir of long life that helps rejuvenate the skin. If it’s good enough for Cleopatra, it’s good enough for us. You’ll then meet with Paolo Cazzaniga for a custom jewellery design and shopping experience. Better yet, if you make a purchase, you’ll be invited to an evening at Giorgio Cazzaniga’s private residence.
Also included is a helicopter ride to a beautiful countryside vineyard, an evening drive through the city, a Roman Holiday movie tour on a vintage Vespa, and an exclusive viewing of Caravaggio’s only ceiling fresco and several Michelangelo sculptures inside the Boncompagni Ludovisi family-owned Villa Aurora. Prices start at US$22,147.
Brazilian Court Hotel, Palm Beach, Florida
Popular among celebrities and power players since opening its doors in 1926, the newly renovated Brazilian Court Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has created an extravagant Valentine’s Day getaway that also celebrates its birth decade.
The Roaring Romance Package includes three nights’ accommodation, a 1920s Rolls Royce rental, a first edition second printing of F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, a diamond and black onyx ring from Tiffany & Co’s The Gatsby Collection, a vintage 1920s 14-karat yellow-gold mesh purse, and head-to-toe stylings in the best fashions from the era.
Couples are then whisked away for a dinner at Café Boulud. Awaiting them is a bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008, a set of engraved Champagne glasses, chocolates, a bouquet of Garden Party roses, and a pack of Padron 1926 Series cigars with a Douglass Field L lighter. Prices start at US$47,330.
