How to get there

For most people having a car is the most reliable mode of transport to explore the Oregon Coast. Highway 101 runs along the coast from Astoria in the north to Brookings in the south. As such, it’s one of the most picturesque drives in the United States.

Portland International Airport is a two-hour drive via Highway 26 and Highway 6 to the coast, however if you choose one of the other airports along the coast, be sure to arrange transportation in advance.
