Room with a view: Uyuni Salt Flats, Bolivia

If you’ve got to the bottom of your bucket list, or the thought of sharing your well-earned downtime with hundreds of selfie-stick-wielding tourists makes you shudder, then it’s time to relax – and blink.

A new concept in luxury travel from the crew at Black Tomato, Blink is a curated travel experience like no other. Bespoke destinations run the full gamut of isolation and beauty, from desert landscapes, glaciers, vibrant jungles, windswept savannahs, and crystal-clear coastlines, to the eerily perfect salt flats of Bolivia.

As pictured here, the team creates a luxury ‘insta-hotel’, designed to your individual needs and preferences, in locations so remote that no-one has travelled there before. The space and the experience are unique to you and your companions, and then, in the blink of an eye, it is all taken away, leaving no evidence of your extraordinary experience other than your snaps and memories.

Tom Marchant, Black Tomato Co-Founder, explains: "We wanted to utilise our travel expertise and destination knowledge and ask ourselves if it would be possible to create a luxury accommodation experience that can exist and be enjoyed for a brief moment never to be replicated again.

"Whether it’s positioning your tent in an exact location to see the sunrise from a particular sand dune in Morocco that’s never been camped on before, or setting up a luxury camp on a little-known fjord in Iceland, Blink aims to get clients off the grid to participate in a one-of-a-kind travel experience," says Tom.

Although all of this indulgence doesn’t come cheap: a four-night experience like the one pictured at Uyuni Salt Flats, Bolivia, starts at $40,760 per person, for six people.
