Frontline heroes honoured with 1,000 nights of luxury hotel experiences
The year 2020 has undoubtedly been one of the hardest periods the world has faced in modern history. Now heroic frontline workers are being rewarded for their selfless efforts in true style thanks to Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).
As the novel coronavirus continues to affect millions of people, the luxury travel group has launched a global campaign to honour those who have helped others during the pandemic.
To thank individuals who have supported their communities through the devastation of COVID-19, the initiative is offering 1,000 free nights of accommodation to use once international travel restrictions have eased.
Small Luxury Hotels boasts a collection of more than 520 boutique hotels across 90 countries, creating endless opportunities for 500 heroes to indulge in a tranquil oasis.
"We have an enormous sense of gratitude for those around the world who have worked tirelessly in the face of the pandemic," says SLH CEO Jean-François Ferret.
"From frontline health workers through to delivery drivers and the army of charity workers and volunteers supporting the elderly, homeless and disadvantaged, these outstanding individuals put their lives on the line every day.
"This is our way of giving back and providing them with something special to anticipate.
"We are proud of this campaign and of our independently owned hotels exemplifying the SLH philosophy of community and integrity."
From sprawling across the pearl-white sandy shores of the Caribbean to landing a front-row seat to witness some of Africa’s captivating giants in person, the enchanting opportunities are seemingly endless – and it’s all done in absolute style.
In order to be part of the Small Luxury Hotels community, independent hotels are personally experienced, vetted and verified by the group’s inspectors to ensure venues sustain five-star service and utmost prestige all the while keeping conscious travel at the heart of its vision.
"A future where people explore the world with intention, experience its intensity and protect its integrity" is at the core of the company’s mission to match travellers with unique hotel experiences that don’t negatively impact the natural world.
Countryside retreats, beach resorts and historic locations are some of the special stay destinations on offer for 500 people. Each recipient will get a two-night stay at one of the group’s iconic properties.
Some of the hotels are also offering additional experiences. Castle Hot Springs, US, and Hotel Byron, Italy, are both hosting a four-night stay while Le Mas Candille, France, is generously offering 10-nights.
SLH is calling for nominations for the #SLHFORHEROES campaign with entries closing 30 June 2020.
