Hilton’s new Signia brand will reimagine business travel
This year celebrating its 100th anniversary, Hilton’s portfolio already includes an impressive 16 globe-spanning brands – from the grand Waldorf-Astoria to the new microhotel-model Motto – and the company recently announced plans to add a 17th.
The dynamic new brand, Signia, will be focused on high-end meetings and events, positioned between the luxury-level Conrad brand and its flagship Hilton properties.
But these won’t be your average cookie-cutter business hotels. With a minimum of 500 guestrooms and seven square metres per room of flexible meetings and events space, each Signia Hilton promises to offer business and leisure travellers elevated experiences all the way from arrival to departure.
"In our 100th year of hospitality, we are more focused than ever on providing exceptional experiences to all of our guests – and that includes evolving those experiences to meet their changing needs," said Christopher Nassetta, President and CEO, Hilton.
"We are proud to launch Signia Hilton, which exemplifies our innovative spirit and will raise the bar on what it means to deliver truly customer-inspired hospitality."
Each hotel will feature modern architecture, state-of-the-art technology, manicured landscaping and lobbies that double as social networking hubs.
With an emphasis on connectivity, guests will be able to unlock their rooms and control the temperature with the Hilton app, as well as stream content from their personal devices to their TV screen.
After a hard day’s work, professionals can retreat to the bar for a well-earned drink. Serving as the heart of the hotel, each bar will reflect the exciting city in which it resides and will be complemented by a signature chef-driven restaurant that incorporates local flavours and attitude.
To recharge and indulge, guests can take a dip in the infinity pool, sweat it out in one of the many group fitness classes on offer, or wind down in the spa.
The all-in-one hotel and workspace will feature small to mid-sized meeting areas as well as large ballrooms and pre-function areas with high ceilings, abundant natural light and custom flourishes including rotating digital artwork and touchscreen presentation boards.
The first three cities to see Signia developments will be Orlando, Indianapolis and Atlanta, with a strategic expansion throughout the US and internationally in Hilton’s sights.
While the first property in Orlando will be a conversion of the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, almost all other Signia Hilton hotels will be new builds to ensure only the latest materials and technologies are used.
