Inside The CEO Magazine’s exclusive Parlour X shopping soiree

Housed within the historic St Johns Church on Paddington’s iconic Oxford Street, Parlour X exudes elegance and class.

The intimate evening soiree saw around 40 female executives from The CEO Magazine’s private network assemble at the multi-brand luxury fashion boutique for an exclusive shopping and styling experience.

On display was a curated selection of the most coveted ready-to-wear and accessories collections from the world’s most sought-after luxury designers including Fendi, Balenciaga, Céline, Valentino, Chloé and Saint Laurent.

As trays of gourmet canapes and flutes of Laurent-Perrier Champagne circled ‘The Church’, Eva Galambos, Parlour X Founder and Buyer, and Anna Dutton, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The CEO Magazine welcomed guests to the globally renowned fashion destination.

"Welcome everyone, and for those of you who haven’t been here before, it’s a very special welcome. Why have you not been here before?" Eva laughed.

"I was just speaking to some women and they reminded me how important it is for Australians to support their own.

"My team and I are so proud of what we’ve achieved, especially considering how challenging retail is in Australia. However, it’s also incredibly rewarding and it’s a labour of love," Eva continued.

"Australians are really appreciative of great taste, style, food and lifestyle – and fashion certainly goes hand in hand with those passions.

"We try to present to our clientele and to the Australian audience the best in fashion from all over the world and we’re so glad you get to experience that here tonight."

The Church was abuzz with excited ‘Oohs’ and ‘Aahs’ as women browsed the extensive collection, trying on stilettos, modelling handbags and stroking the rows of gorgeous garments.

Since opening Parlour X in 2001, Eva quickly earned a reputation as Australia’s most prominent buyer and one of the most influential Australian fashion ambassadors abroad.

She uses her relationship with the major European fashion houses to support the local Australian industry, mentor emerging designers through various philanthropic initiatives, and share her know-how through industry talks and creative collaborations.

"Our collaboration with The CEO Magazine is only new, but we’ve really enjoyed working with them," she explains.

"Because I travel so frequently, I always spot copies of the magazine in airport lounges. They interview so many magnificent and accomplished executives and I’m very honoured to be featuring in their March edition."
