Futuristic gadgets, world-class vessels and the best seafaring technology made more than a splash during the Middle East’s biggest boat show.
The Dubai International Boat Show 2019 saw 800 brands and more than 400 exhibitors unveil hundreds of innovative designs during the five-day affair.
Whether guests had a taste of how the other half live in the ever-so-opulent Superyacht Avenue or explored the floating mansions of leading companies including Benetti, Oceanco and San Lorenzo, there was a plethora of maritime marvels for marine aficionados to relish.

Gulf Craft
The Emirates pioneer builder of luxury yachts stunned with an impressive fleet of 12 vessels including three new designs.
From the triple-deck Majesty 140 (the biggest superyacht in its collection at the 2019 show) to the award-winning Majesty 100 famed for her sky-lounge deck, the suite of boats had something for everyone.
The 37-year-old manufacturer unveiled three brand-new Nomad Yachts from its Sports Utility Vessel (SUV) Collection. Catering to adventurous seafarers, the yachts boast semi-displacement hybrid hulls designed to withstand all sea conditions.
Oceanco
Designed to explore new territories, Esquel opens the world’s ocean to maritime scouters hoping to dig deeper in untouched waters with a mission of raising awareness of ocean conservation.
The gigantic, state-of-the-art, sustainable 105-metre ship can house carry a car and motorbikes as well as accommodate a helicopter, and store and deploy two submarines. A laboratory can also be fitted for scientific experiments and marine biology exploration.
While the expedition yacht has a masculine exterior, the stylish interior creates luxurious accommodation with a 20-seat timber dining table, magnificent fireplace, enclosed pool and a wellness oasis with panoramic views.
Sirena
The Turkish shipyard made its debut at the Dubai International Boat Show 2019 with its stunning flagship yacht, Sirena 64.
Designed by Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering and Tommaso Spadolini, the 20.7-metre long-range vessel features premium naval architecture, Class A design and floor-to-ceiling glass windows for an abundance of natural light.
The combination of Italian flair and Turkish craftsmanship offers luxury, practicality and sustainability in this environmentally conscious yacht that is 20% more fuel efficient and has 20% more water capacity than other ships of the same size.
Benetti
With a name like Diamond 145, the glittering charm of Benetti’s attractive yachts is to be expected.
The Italian manufacturer showcased three scale models of its most iconic yacht, which weds timeless European elegance with exceptional construction.
From the B.NOW 63M and the 44-metre flagship of the Class category Diamond 145 to the 29-metre Delfino 95 with GRP displacement hull, the hyper-technological essence of Dubai complemented the legacy of Benetti.
Enata Marine
Style meets science with the futuristic evolution of Foiler – a revolutionary water vessel that transports passengers above the waves.
The flying yacht by Enata made its world debut at the show displaying unique hydrofoils that make the overall fuel efficiency 50% greater than that of traditional yachts.
Impressive with its push-button-controlled, retractable carbon fibre hydrofoils, the out-of-this-world vessel flies 1.5 metres above the water at a top speed of 18 knots with seven passengers and one driver. Welcome to the future.
