Gulfstream extends range of its latest business aircraft
The world is undoubtedly changing the way people do business globally but Gulfstream hasn’t lost sight of what’s important to its most esteemed clientele with an unwavering drive to succeed.
This requisite has helped usher in the next-generation Gulfstream G500 and G600 business aircraft, the latest to feature additional range capabilities through real-time operations. More specifically, the duo can reach a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90 and the long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85.
The Gulfstream G500 is capable of covering 9,816 kilometres at Mach 0.85 and 8,334 kilometres at Mach 0.90. The Gulfstream G600’s range extends this by delivering 12,223 kilometres at Mach 0.85. As a good reference, the distance from New York to London is 5,566 kilometres.
"The G500 and G600 have been exceeding expectations since they entered service," explained Mark Burns, President, Gulfstream. "This latest demonstrated range increase provides further proof of the tremendous efficiency and versatility of these aircraft. The Gulfstream team is always looking for opportunities to improve aircraft capabilities and the customer experience, and we are pleased to deliver another performance enhancement for both existing and future customers."
Range wasn’t the only area of upgrade. The G600 also delivers greater payload capacity thanks to Gulfstream’s advanced manufacturing and precision-build expertise. The advancement essentially gives G600 operators even more flexibility.
"What’s exciting for our existing customers is that these improvements already exist on their in-service aircraft with no modifications required," Burns added.
Customers who demand the absolute pinnacle in their business aircraft can opt for the G700, which delivers the tallest, widest and longest cabin in its class.
