Already the market leader in electricity trading in Denmark, Jørgen Holm Westergaard shares Energi Danmark’s vision to expand into other parts of Europe.
Energi Danmark started from small beginnings in 1993 and has grown exponentially over the years to become a reputable name in the European energy industry with sales branches in five different countries and a yearly turnover of more than 1.5 billion.
The company offers a wide range of products and optimum solutions for business customers and public institutions. Its activities range from physical and financial energy trading, carbon trading, and trading with gas and wind power, to currency hedging and portfolio management.

Jørgen Holm Westergaard has held the position of CEO for 15 years. Prior to that he worked in the banking sector for roughly a decade, and he has a masters degree in economics. Jørgen says Energi Danmark initially traded electricity at the Nord Pool Spot with sales predominantly in the Danish market, and subsequently decided to expand into other countries.
