Craig Scroggie
CEO Craig Scroggle discusses how intimately NextDC knows the cloud, and why businesses need to embrace it for their future.
In the five years since NEXTDC was established, it has seen great success and expansion in its operations. The company was created by entrepreneur Bevan Slattery, who envisioned a company that could provide carrier and vendor-neutral data-centre facilities throughout Australia and the APAC region.
Since taking up the role in June 2012, CEO Craig Scroggie has been pushing growth, especially with the delivery of NEXTDCs national network resulting in data centres in most capital cities across the country. Craig has a vast amount of experience in the industry, and prior to being appointed CEO he acted as an executive director on the board of NEXTDC for 18 months.
Previous to his current role, Craig held the position of vice-president of the Pacific branch of American technology giant Symantec, responsible for driving the companys sales in the region. Craig has also served as a judge for the Federal Privacy Commissioners privacy awards and holds a Master of Business Administration. Craig spoke to The CEO Magazine about NEXTDCs rapid growth, the nature of hybrid cloud, and how companies could take advantage of todays information technology to make savings in their business.
