Patrick Tuttle reveals the most important career lessons he has learned, his biggest challenges, and the development of the business.
From surviving and flourishing during the GFC to successfully entering the commercial real estate sector and expanding into Europe, Pepper has emerged as one of Australias leading non-bank lenders since its establishment 12 years ago.
Pepper Australia Group is now one of Australias largest non-bank financial institutions, primarily focusing on the provision of specialist residential mortgage and consumer finance, the acquisition and management of third-party loan portfolios across a range of asset classes (including residential and commercial mortgages, auto and equipment finance, and unsecured loans), and the provision of advisory services to the corporate real estate (CRE) sector.
Today, Pepper has total assets under management of $7.2 billion and 485 employees spread across Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain. It also operates a highly regarded bond program which has issued in excess of $3.6 billion of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) since 2003.
Patrick Tuttle, Group Managing Director and CEO of Pepper, has been with the company since its inception and has been instrumental in successfully guiding it through the GFC and beyond. The CEO Magazine recently spoke to Patrick about the evolution of the company. _
