Executive of the Year Awards to go ahead in a virtual format for 2020
It’s been an extraordinary year with the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way we work and live. While many 2020 events have been cancelled due to the current situation, The CEO Magazine is committed to making sure that Australia’s leaders are still recognised for their great achievements in business.
The 2020 Executive of the Year Awards will go ahead in a virtual format on 12 November. More details to be revealed soon.
The purpose of the Executive of the Year Awards has always been to shine a spotlight on the contributions that leaders have made to their companies and the Australian business landscape. That’s why The CEO Magazine’s Founder and CEO Chris Dutton started the event almost a decade ago.
"People have told me that the Executive of the Year Awards genuinely changes careers and lives, and really makes a difference – more so than I know." – Chris Dutton.
"It’s an important event and it’s so great to see it grow every year. I’m proud of everyone who has helped make it the success it is," he says.
For this year’s virtual event, The CEO Magazine has gathered an impressive line-up of judges, ranging from not-for-profit leaders to tech execs to startup founders. Applications have been extended until Friday 24 July 2020 and finalists will be announced online on 10 September 2020. Award winners will be announced during the virtual presentation ceremony on 12 November.
The Executive of the Year Awards will return in 2021 as a black-tie event, hosted at The Star, Sydney in November.
